  1. Great points and great vlog, as always. One of my insured clients is an InsurTech company (hey…they need coverage, too) and they have stuck what I think is a great balance between experienced insurance professionals and industry outsiders with relevant skills. Their CEO is an actuarial fellow with carrier experience, but their CFO and COO are experienced startup leaders who have left a string of successful non-insurance startups-turned-companies in their wake. I’m excited to see where they will go, and which of the myriad of InsurTech firms will survive in this space.

    • I agree completely that the InsurTechs that will succeed long term have the balance between the “Insur” and the “Tech” part of the word!
